MTN Increases Xtratime (Borrowed Airtime) Interest Rates To 15%

The Tech Citadel
While good telecom news (4G LTE services) has been popping up in the country (NGR), the recession has reared its ugly head into the mix.

MTN has increased interest rate of Xtratime (Borrowed credit) by
5% (10% to 15%).

While the 10% interest rate has already made the Xtratime service kind of a "devil's gift" (but in some case a necessary evil), the 5% increment (due to recession I'm guessing) is kind of bad news to most Xtratime beneficiaries.

But, it is what it is. Personally, I have never being a fan of borrowing airtime (Xtratime) or internet data (Xtrabytes).

However, I understand that there are emergency situations whereby these services can be God sent.

What do you think of this?

Would you quit MTN Xtratime services?
